Stewart’s Resort: Update June 2026
The proprietors of Stewart’s Resort, Gleneagles Holiday Park Ltd, have now formally applied for new Planning Permission, from Fife Council, for a change of use of some additional agricultural land adjacent to their current site. The details of application 25/03431/EIA can be found at https://planning.fife.gov.uk/online/simpleSearchResults.do?action=firstPage .
This application, if successful, could eventually result in the addition of “up to 216 new luxury holiday lodges”. On completion, if successful, this Phase 4 application would allow for an enormous in-total 429 pitch site, extending the developing site on to land immediately adjacent to Special Protection Area Cameron Reservoir.
We would like to thank everyone who took the opportunity to drop in to Cameron Hall during the two Public Consultations on 28th August and 9th October 2025, who made their views then known, or who posted their comments on the agents’ Montgomery Forgan website, or who formally registered their views with Fife Council in March 2026.
Cameron Community Council have reflected local opinion, in registering an objection to the extension application, and the matter will be referred to Fife Council’s North East Planning Committee for a decision, at a date yet to be confirmed.
