BANKHEAD MOSS RESERVE
E-mail to the CC Chairman from Jean Stewart, Honorary Warden at
Bankhead Moss Reserve.

Jean Stewart holds the role as honorary warden of the Scottish Wildlife Trust (SWT) reserve at Bankhead Moss, near Peat Inn. Alistair Whyte is the Reserves Manager at the SWT.
This is a fascinating reserve on several counts: it is one of the few examples in Eastern Scotland of a raised bog; it has the historical interest of the lint holes on the moss; and it has a hide overlooking the marsh where Reed Buntings, Sedge Warblers, Lapwings etc can be seen and Water Rails can be heard. The reserve is also a lovely quiet place to visit and as there is now a board-walk around part of the reserve, it can make a pleasant circular walk.
Car parking is available, car park [ NO 447 103] on the B940 opposite the entrance to Greigston House
